Brow Tint - Keep your brows looking good between treatments

Brow tint

It is not so strange that people easily choose to press the snooze button now that it has become both darker and colder in the mornings. Many of us would rather prioritize an extra 20 minutes of sleep than stand in front of the mirror and fix our brows. By dyeing your brows yourself at home, you kill two birds with one stone; you save valuable time while waking up every morning with a pair of perfectly colored and filled-in brows. Newly dyed brows also require no maintenance, but to guarantee the longevity of your brow colour, it may be good to think about certain things. Below we list tips on what to do and what not to do to ensure that your new brow color lasts longer!

Clean sparingly for the first 24 hours

When you dye your brows, the so-called cuticle layer of the hair, the outermost layer of the hair, is opened, so that the color can then penetrate into the core of the hair, called the cortex. In the first 24 hours after a brow tint, these scales have not yet closed and the color is encapsulated, which means that the color can still be affected if you shower or clean your face. Therefore, you can advantageously avoid wetting your brows for the first day after your brow colour, and also make sure to avoid face scrubs and rubbing your brows with a towel to really optimize the durability of your new brow colour.

We recommend using our Cleansing Duo, where you can effectively and gently clean the brows with our Duo Brush and foaming cleansing Cleansing Foam.

Sun and chlorine destroy the result faster.

Regardless of whether it's a lovely outdoor pool in some warm country or if you enjoy swimming for exercise in a swimming pool, neither sun nor chlorine is particularly friendly to your brows after brow tinting. The chlorine in a pool is extremely cleansing for our strands (which you've probably experienced for your head hair) and can repeatedly leach out your brows of their color. The same applies if you spend a lot of time out in the sun; your brows are simply bleached by the sun and make the strands light. If you're staying abroad and don't want to give up these two wonderful things, you can therefore take our new Brow Tint with you so that you can top up your brow color - wherever you want, whenever you want.

Moisturize with serum

Eyebrows have a natural growth cycle of around 6-8 weeks before they are replaced, but the quality of the hair can actually affect the cycle. A dry, and therefore nauseating, strand of hair the body wants to replace and therefore shortens the cycle. A healthy strand of hair, on the other hand, the body wants to keep, which makes it stay longer. Very logical, right? Therefore, you can understand how a caring serum can prolong your brow coloring, because the body then simply extends the life of the colored hairs. Our Repair Serum can be used for both brows and lashes, and with its active ingredients it cares for and repairs your hair while promoting natural growth. Apply the serum as a final step in your at-home coloring, it will also fix the strands exactly where you want them and leave a wonderful shine!
